The night use version of the saddle joint orthosis serves to fixate the base joint of the thumb (MCP) and the saddle joint (CMC). It may also be used to good effect in cases of saddle joint arthritis for night time splinting and also for fixation of the metacarpal of the thumb or the saddle joint following injury, sprains or even in the rehabilitation phase following fractures. This product is also recommended for the treatment of De Quervain syndrome. It may also be utilized as complementary treatment to surgery performed on fractures of the thumb metacarpal (Benett, Rolando, Winterstein fractures). Also possible to wear during daytime. FLEXIBLE LÍGERO PERFORADO TRANSPARENTE LAVABLE Aplicación y ajuste Las ortesis Chrisofix® , preparadas para utilizar, hay que ajustarlas directamente en el miembro lesio- nado/enfermo. El ajuste tosco de la ortesis (doblado) hay que hacer en una extremidad no lesionada de talla similar. Ajustes precisos (p.ej. después del desinflado de los tejidos) se puede hacer sin necesidad de quitar la ortesis. Colocar el antebrazo en la ortesis preformada. Ajustar la ortesis a la mano y a la muňeca mediante suaves presiones y cerrar el hook alrededor del pulgar. Fijar luego la sujeción en el dorso de la mano, alrededor de la muñeca y del antebrazo. Para remover la ortesis, no es necesario abrir el hook del pulgar y del dorso de la mano; la mano se pu- ede retirar simplemente de la fijación y colocarla otra vez más tarde. El doblado/estiramiento frecuente de la ortesis puede dañar su estabilidad. Intentar hacerlo solo lo mínimo necesario.
