Integrated dental unit waterline treatment systemAutomated. Time-saving. Integrated. Maintaining waterlines is essential for both patients and professionals—and the integrated dental unit waterline treatment system A‑dec Maintain does it automatically. Through continuous waterline treatment, A‑dec Maintain helps prevent microorganisms from settling in the unit's hose systems.Continuous treatment: Provides constant, automatic hygienic maintenance without the need for daily tablets or manual dosing.Meets strict standards: Complies with DVGW standards and EN 1717.*Eliminates daily maintenance: Replace the high-capacity 750 ml concentrated solution bottle every 30 to 40 working days, freeing staff to focus on patient care.Complete waterline management: Use with A‑dec ICX Renew shock treatment for comprehensive waterline management.Installed in the connection box: Allows full range of motion for the A‑dec 300/400/500 chair and delivery unit, without limiting chair height or rotation.Solution and test strips A‑dec MaintainA‑dec Maintain is a 2% hydrogen peroxide-based solution. With an easy-to-use quick-connect top, each 750 ml bottle treats approximately 63 liters of water, lasting 30 to 40 working days.A‑dec Maintain test strips can be used to verify hydrogen peroxide levels in the reservoir. The color scale indicates the hydrogen peroxide concentration in the process water.Four steps for cleaningFill: Maintain waterlines daily with A‑dec Maintain solution. Specially formulated to prevent the buildup of bacteria that cause bad odor and taste in dental unit waterlines. One bottle remains active in the system, preventing scale and biofilm deposits for 30 to 40 working days.Test: Check hydrogen peroxide levels weekly by dipping an A‑dec Maintain test strip in the reservoir. The color scale indicates the hydrogen peroxide concentration in the water. The ideal is 2%.Monitor: Use a water test kit to obtain a quantitative measurement of heterotrophic bacteria. If CFU/ml test results exceed water quality standards, it's time to apply shock treatment.Shock treatment: Shock treatment cleans deposits and eliminates bacteria that cause bad odor and taste in dental unit waterlines. A‑dec recommends shock treating the dental unit waterlines with A‑dec ICX Renew before first use. After the first use, apply shock treatment whenever test results recommend it. Continue using A‑dec Maintain solution for ongoing waterline maintenance.FAQsWhat solution can I use in my integrated dental unit waterline treatment system? A‑dec Maintain solution is recommended for this system. The 2% hydrogen peroxide-based solution features an easy-to-use quick-connect top, and each 750 ml bottle treats approximately 63 liters of water, lasting about 30 to 40 working days. Can I use a third-party solution in my A‑dec dental unit waterline treatment system? A‑dec cannot recommend the use of other solutions in our systems, as we cannot determine the efficacy of a different brand. How often do I need to change the concentrated solution bottle? The concentrated solution bottle will treat approximately 63 liters of water, equivalent to 30 to 40 working days. In units with a spittoon and cup fill, the concentrated solution may need to be replaced sooner, depending on the number of cups filled. How can I order more solution for my dental unit waterline treatment system? The water bottle can also serve as a backup if, for example, building water pressure is lost and patient treatment is still required. What is the shelf life of A‑dec Maintain solution?
