OverviewGIGAALASER combines two parallel working wavelengths of 980nm and 1470nm to introduce HPLASⅡ for urology. HPLASⅡ operates dual wavelengths of 980nm and 1470nm running in parallel with a maximum output up to 200W, achieving optimal absorption in water and hemoglobin, resulting in a high ablation rate combined with good hemostatic effect. The dual-laser approach may enable preservation of ejaculation in internal structures of the prostate, aiming to reduce the risk of retrograde ejaculation for middle-aged men (notably those 40-50 years old) who wish to preserve fertility. The excellent hemostatic profile leads to virtually no blood loss during and after the procedure, sparing internal tissue and speeding patient relief from urinary urgency.

Principle of treatmentThe treatment is performed by inserting a cystoscope containing the dedicated BPH probe through the urethra. The bare fiber head is extended from the probe and discharges the combined 980nm and 1470nm dual laser from the probe head. The operator steers and rotates the probe to ablate tissue in a circular motion; the funnel enlarges step by step and the probe is withdrawn at the end, restoring free urine flow. Illustrative images and a procedural video demonstrate the technique and probe handling.
