Product Details: The DST micro-TD is the world's smallest temperature and depth logging archival fish tag, ideal for very small fish or marine animals for long-term behaviour and migration studies. Developed in cooperation with fish biologists, it is suitable for long-term studies of small fish, smolt, and marine animals due to its high reliability and long lifetime despite its small size (25.4 mm x 8.3 mm, 3.3 g in air). Designed for migration, feeding, and dive behavioral studies of small fish, seabirds, and marine animals. Records time series data, enabling scientists to gain valuable information on migration routes and behavioural patterns over long periods. Can be implanted or attached externally using tag holder kits. Stores up to 87,168 measurements, allowing for data storage over 2.5 years at a 30-minute interval. Flexible interval setup: multiple intervals can be set for measuring depth and temperature. Depth calibration options: up to 150 m, 300 m, or 1000 m (the shallower the range, the better the resolution and accuracy). Customizable text on housing for recapture purposes. Optional yellow plastic tube (spaghetti tag) for easier spotting of tagged fish. Using the Logger: Supported by SeaStar software and a Communication Box (required for setup and data retrieval). Logger is programmed via USB connection to a PC, with user-defined start time, date, and sampling intervals. Supports single or multiple sampling intervals (up to 7 different intervals). Software calculates memory and battery life based on interval settings. After recapture, data is uploaded to the software and can be exported for further analysis.
